Not sure Fletcher would be aggressive enough this offseason

Created by: mmc1710
Team: 2019-20 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 9, 2019

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think Frost, Farabee, and Ratcliff are possibly 2 seasons away.
Flyers flip picks with DAL and receive Honka in the deal. It's been written that DAL management is ready to move on from him.
Gudas goes to EDM for Puljujarvi (who is rumored to have asked for a trade). EDM gets a top 4 Dman and cap relief by shedding Gagner and receiving $1.5 million off Gudas' contract. Puljujarvi comes in and plays with Lindblom and Patrick to start while playing in a speed and transition game under AV. He also won't be put under as much of a microscope as in EDM.
MacDonald is moved for EITHER the 2019 OR the 2020 pick.
Most of the younger guys contracts I believe will be "bridge" deals. They get a significant raise for 3-4 years. After that is when I believe they'll cash in on bigger deals either with PHI or someone else.
I think we get Stralman a little cheaper then his prior contract because TBY will be in a CAP crunch with Point, Coburn, Girardi, among others....
Talbot stays for 2 years to mentor Hart as his backup.

That’s the craziest contract for a backup goalie with the intent of being a mentor. You could get Miller for half the price and he was playing decent last year. Miller actually has experience being a starter for over a decade. Talbot is probably a great pro, but he is a career backup.

I actually screwed up Talbot's $.....I was supposed to be $3.25 over 2 years. It may be high, but he does have report with Hart. So having him for two years as a backup playing probably 20-25 games, unless there's an injury to Hart could be good for Hart's development.

As for Honka/Myers....I didn't move Honka....He should've been the healthy scratch who would fill in every so many # of games.
