Description
This Niskanen trade seems to be fairly popular on here. Janmark can play PK and is only one year removed from a 34 point season, so he is probably more useful than Bura anyway. Maybe Conno or Vrana get a little more money, but this gives them some room to maneuver in-season, plus some space for next offseason when Backstrom needs to be re-signed. Bura probably fetches less than a 2nd rounder, but you can add Johansen or someone there to maybe sweeten the deal. I debated Stralman or Girardi here, but I think Stralman will cost more because he is younger and can contribute a little more offensively. Lots of options here for bottom pair defensemen, which maybe makes Djoos expendable for a trade a la Madison Bowey.

If Vrana signs a $3.5M bridge it will be for 1 year not 2.

If you think that someone is going to give up a 2nd rounder for Burakovsky (which isn't going to happen) to them have to give him $3.25M (which isn't going to happen) then there is no way that Vrana signed for only $250K more for 2 years.

I said Burakovsky probably gets less than a 2nd rounder, but packaged with another cheap D, Oilers might go for that. It doesn't really have any bearing on the NHL team no matter what he gets, because he won't be back next year in this scenario. And I said Vrana might get more money. There's cap space there. Read the description.

If you need to explain in the description, you are doing it wrong. You can put whatever you want in the description but it is what end up in the picks and roster that matters. If you think that Vrana will get more than $3.5Mx2, then you put him in for more than $3.5Mx2. If you think that Burakovsky isn't going to get a 2nd, then you don't put Burakovsky for a 2nd.

No one is going to give anything for Burakovsky because no one is going to give him $3.25M. He will be a UFA come the 25th.

"Doing it wrong" Ah yes, I completely forgot to follow the rules of this silly armchair GM game. There's people on this site making trades for Connor MacDavid. It's just for fun dude. I can post whatever trades I want.
