As a leafs fan the value is ok if the 2nd is conditional on Tanev playing 67% of the playoffs games. If he's not going to play in the playoffs he isn't that much use.

Isles could use Sutter, the big question is his health. Because his health is an unknown Van would probably need to retain on the contract.

I can see why the Leafs would want that. If he didn't play that amount of games what would come instead?

Probably a 3rd. Doubt they go after Tanev though unless they actually move on from Zaitsev and Marleau.
