your not a prospect at 22. buffalo gives up 47 points to ana s loss of 15 points and saves them over 2m$. so you dont know what your talking about. if ana is thinking of buying out perry witch is all over the news, it will cost them about 4.1m$ for next 4 years regardless. at least with this trade they get some players for that wasted cap space.

This is bad. The ducks want the roster spot not that cap room. They aren’t in cap trouble. Also Perry has 49 points 2 seasons ago when he played the full season. Okposo hasn’t hit 49 points since he joined BUF. He also has his own injury concerns. If there’s any player/pick with value going anywhere in this deal it’s going to the ducks.

i dont think thats true at all about roster spots. if they needed that they could just put perry in AHL and you would be good. brass in duck land do not want perry on team period, to the point they talk about buyouts. even as small a gain as it is this could very well be better then what ducks actually get back for him.

He has a NMC that means he can not be put on waivers. He can’t go to the minors.

Okposo has a contract twice as long as Perry’s and Zemgus has to be signed so in all the ducks clog the roster more and don’t get any cap relief but get put on the hook for 6M for 2 extra years.

i still dont see the need to bring up players ducks arnt a deep team on forwards and can surly just drop a bottom 6 guy like GRANT, ROWNEY or SHORE

according to corsia SHORE, GRANT,ROWNEY and pretty even with RITCHIE witch surprised me. sprong and perry were slightly higher but noting that would jump off page.

So not taking on 2 extra years of 6M just to slightly increase the 4th line.

its 2m$ extra for a 20 point increase on production compaired to a buyout. i still think you miss the point that this is all about being better then a buyout scenario not a whos better trade.

You missed the point. There’s no reason to take on 2 extra years at 6M for a player worse than the one they want to buy out.

take the buy out see how that works out for yea with that weak system of players you have coming up. dont forget to pull an Edmonton and bring them up to early and ruin there confidence while you are at it.
