If Marner gets 11m, Dubas needs to be fired.

- Calgary has no reason to do it. With moving Brodie/Hamonic they want to lower their cap and get position of need at C. I would suggest Kadri and pick for Brodie and Jankowski trade which is doing both.
- choose either 2nd round pick or retention on Marleau. It would likely be Marleau and Bracco for someone like Cousins because of center depth
- Marner is not getting close to 11 unless its offersheet. He is not worth that.
- fair contracts for Kappy and Johnsson, I would switch salaries on those deals but other than that its good.
- Sparks has proved everything in AHL and should not be there. He would likely get competition. I doubt its Miller.

Realistic Marner price: Check

IMO the Calgary trade is a bit unrealistic unless Hamonic has fallen out of favor with them. Calgary is a team who will have cap issues soon and im not sure they want to lock themselves into an overpriced Dman. However Brown could sway the trade. I guess it depends how calgary views both defensmen, since at first glane I say HELL NO, but at second thought, I COULD* see it.

Miller will either play in SJS or ANA or retire. He moved to the Cali-area because of his wife and family and I see 0 reason for him wanting to come back across the country for so "little" money. Also I'd REALLY HATE millsy playing in a leafs uniform. But you could easily find a different backup goalie for similar money if you want Sparks to marinate another year.

I do think Johansson is a little underpaid, but were not talking much money where it would matter.

Lets be honest, he should be able to get him under this but by that same token Marner has all the right to ask for it.

That is a really bad trade from Calgary's perspective. They don't get cap relief, which they need, take on the worst contracts in the trade, and give up the best player.

Never really gave much thought to zaitsev to Calgary. It certainly isn’t a horrible idea. They have no real RHD in the pipe. I’m not sure if they make that deal but it’s a good thought.

Marleau... meh it’s a Marleau Trade.

Calgary is trying to shed salary, Zaitsev’s paid 650 000 more than Hamonic. I’d think the Laughs would have to pitch in a draft pick or take back some money
