I would be pretty interested in that offer if I was the Jets. I may be higher than some on Cholowski though so I'm not sure about other Jets fans.

I would say just get rid of Green and make it the Islander second and that would probably work. We can't take a salary dump like green even at 50% retained.

I don't see how adding yet another 2 way LHD to their already deep prospect pool in that area will be the best offer Winnipeg gets for Trouba. Since rumor has Philly possibly ready to offer 11th OA + a roster player.

Green is not a salary dump tho, he still has a lot of value, look at his numbers, he'd be a good addition to WPJ Defense at 2.6 mil cap hit, but taking Green back and making it NY 2nd would work

You can never have too many Top 4 Dman prospects. I think this trade would help WPJ win more now, depending on what roster player from Philly.

I agree with you on the d-man thing... but if a player like Morgan Frost or Nolan Patrick happens to be available now that they seem to be all in on Kevin Hayes. That's a much better deal than this one.

The Philly rumor isn’t just Trouba. It’s Trouba & Ehlers plus picks/prospects for the 11th OA plus a B prospect. Trouba’s value isn’t high enough to command a 1st round pick by himself. It fixes WPG’s longer term cap issues, plus returns a pick to help restock the pool. Phillys main target is Ehlers, as the forward situation needs significant help.

I dont see the 11th pick being worth Trouba and Ehlers. I agree the 11th pick to too much for just Trouba but theres no guarantee that pick turns into a player anywhere near as good as Ehlers or Trouba. It would have to be 11th pick and one of philly's top prospects

I think it would be at least close. You are guaranteeing yourself a .66 pt/game player (Ehlers), that is in his early 20s, with multiple years left on a pretty reasonable contract. Trouba, you get him for at least 1 year as your #2. The 11OA pick will take a few years to get to the league, wasting the rest of Giroux and Voracek’s career, along with running out van Riemsdyk’s contract, and running up against having to resign your Dmen (so, potential cap hell). If you sign Hayes, and get Ehlers and Trouba, and Carter Hart is the real deal, you are back in the upper echelon of the East.

right i just don't see WPJ giving both those players up for the 11th pick, Philly would have to add another top prospect or something. Trading Ehlers and Trouba for just the 11th is putting way too much stock in that pick. Imagine if that pick ends up not working out(which is entirely possible), that trade would look like a robbery.
