How would you feel about Ghost + 2nd for Trouba? It would give Winnipeg a great replacement on a cheap contract and solidify Philly's top 4 for years

Not really feeling it. Ghost is just not a Trouba replacement frankly. Though he would replace trouba’s offensive production, he would never come close to even making up for the defensive hole Trouba will leave. Niku also seems like a younger ghost so.... but he probably won’t be as good. Of all the assets we could get, ghost doesn’t excite

I like it as a Jets fan. That contract really would help a lot. My main target has been Damon Severson, and Ghost is a much better player on a slightly more expensive contract.

Dreger reported today the Flames preference to extend Hamonic, which makes sense. Brodie is really the guy they'd like to part ways with. Perhaps you've seen something different.

Comrie won't move the needle for Cgy fwiw. They have plenty of unproven warm bodies in net, and Comrie almost creates an even worse ice time problem. The likely scenario being presented in Calgary is a Talbot like platoon option for Rittich, with Gillies as plan B. Zagidulin is projected as the starter in the AHL.

If you want to trade Ghost, I would include someone from the Jets and still get the 1st rounder from Philly...The Jets need that pick...We have a few good young LD prospects

That could certainly be arranged. Who would you think to add?
