Zuckers Value

Created by: MinnySauce
Team: 2019-20 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 11, 2019
Published: Jun. 12, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
People undervalue Zucker because his name has been floating around the rumor mills, but he is very good and only 27 with a decent cap number. Wild want to trade him to create roster flexibility on the left wing for the young player GMPF acquired.

And then you trade him for that?!?!?! I love Gopher players, but I have never thought Fasching would be an NHL player and he hasn’t done a thing to change my mind. I would definitely not make that deal...but probably would your Ducks deal.

Recoup the 3rd from the Ducks trade - I don't know enough about AZ prospects, so maybe you can get a higher end prospect along with the 3rd for Ek.

Curious...why do you want to trade Ek?

Just how this scenario worked out for me. Not necessarily a want, but more to create roster openings. If they were going to get a prospect back, it'd be one to develop in Iowa.

Two teams that shouldn't be trading with each other are the Ducks and Wild, this trade makes zero sense for either team.
They should both be rebuilding.

Zucker and Rakell are pretty comparable, plus the Ducks get out from under Perry's contract (no dollars retained) for a servicable player in Rask that makes less than half per season than Perry, and the Ducks get a young piece in Shaw with a 3rd rounder. It's not a huge rebuild move, but it's a move in the right direction for both teams.

Rakell is not going anywhere, he is on a bargain of a contract.

I only want to trade Ek if we are getting a high end young center... I'd prefer Nico Hischier but he is not going to be traded... So someone like Patrick... Otherwise Ek is a very good insurance policy for Koivu and Staal.
