Eh...that Vancouver trade let's just say I'm not a fan of it. Would need to add to the Philly deal and not sure the Dallas deal happens.

Frost is a top 5 contender for Calder next year. I don't even think PHI would trade him for anyone other than a star, elite and proven playr.

Vancouver is the only team here that considers that deal.

Laughton and a 3rd is probably enough for Kapanen. I could see PHI doing that.

PHI does need a 2C, but Hayes will fill that. Frost is almost for certain taking 3C - Frost for Kadri is the NHL version of trade suicide.

If Leafs are trading Kappy+, could we not aim a little higher then Gudas? I like Gudas, and he'd be a good fit, but no way is he a part of deal with Kappy as centrepiece.

To be fair, I could see Gudas and Laughton for Kapanen and (?). Maybe not Brown, as hes, likely an expensive, bottom 6 RFA next year and plays a similar game to Hartman and Raffl and minor leaguer NAKubel.

But I think PHI would love Kapanen's speed and Toronto would love Gudas's physicality and reliability.

Laughton is probably around 2-2.4mil as a RFA coming off a career year, and with the addition of Kapanen, philly can definitely afford to bring a rookie centreman like Vorobyev, Rubotsov, or even Frost for 4th line to play with vets Hartman/Raffl.

Gudas for Kapanen, IMO, would require a 3rd or slightly more from PHI. Gudas and Laughton for Kapanen, probably needs a 2nd and slightly more from TOR. I cant really see that PHI needs more prospects and with addition of Kapanen, cant see them needing Johnnson or Brown, etc...
