Nah, Leafs dont need another goal scorer when there is already plenty of them.

Boeser doesn't fully replace Marner, but Boeser is an absolute stud. On top of that Leafs get Stecher (pretty decent RHD) and 2 1st's. The 1st's are incredibly valuable. This trade never happens because it's a clear overpay for Marner.

If Benning calls Dubas, he would be crazy not to take this.

Look I recognize That Boeser has a great ceiling and he is a good player but same age career high 56 points vs. 94, I’d say he is worth Willy Nylander and Willy plus 10 OA and probably 15-20 OA is not worth Mitch add Stetcger that is close to fair value I like stetcger so I would say he is a bit of an overpay but it’s close

As leafs Fan, I would hope the leafs would jump all over this.. Marner is obviously the best player in this deal, but Boeser is a stud, Stecher can fill a role, 10th overall is going to be an NHL player, and 2020 1st could be top 10 again. I cannot see the canucks doing this, but Leafs accept.

interesting concept, but a couple issues:

Marner is a play maker playing with snipers like Tavares and Matthes
Boeser as good as he is is also a sniper. Tavares can distribute, but clearly is better as a goal scorer
Marner is a lead PK forward as well, i assmue (don't know) Boeser is not ready for 3 Mins of PK a night yet
would also depend on Stetchers contract wants after this year too
The picks are nice and would need to be unprotected

Value wise i see the similarities but from a style of play sense, don't see it working
