That reaction would be welcomed by Sabres fans......the Leafs are already considered public enemy # 1 so no one would care if the hatred got amped up.

That said, the Sabres would need to make sure key RFAs in the future like Dahlin, Mittelstadt, Olofsson and Pilut are re-signed in advance of free agency so Leafs couldn't get the chance for a retaliatory offer sheet.
