Turrible trade for Buffalo. Add Debrincat and you'll be there.

Why is Buffalo giving up a first and Reinhart to move up 4 spots and take a bunch of cap back?

GMBots looks are around the room and says.... 'ok now show me where the camera is..... I always wanted to meet Alan Funt.... come on out Alan'

That reference is for all the ancient ones on this site!!!!!

Absolutely not a snowballs chance in hell that deal is even remotely discussed by the Sabres.

Like Buffalos two firsts, for Chicago's one first might work. Move up 4 spots and Chi gets 31 overall pick. Idk tho

Yeah, I don't think that BUF trade is a fair trade, but it's because of the players...not the picks. Reinhart is a good/really young player. I don't care where he was drafted...that was years ago, but a lot better than AA for sure. As for the picks. They'd have to be SOLD on the #3 to do it. top 10 picks rarely get traded for one another, but (for all the BUF commenters) History says the #3 for #7 and #31...isn't enough. I'm not suggesting BUF should do it, but it's very expensive to move into the Top5 via other picks.

Luke Schenn is the closest comp. The #5 for #7, #37, and #68. And that just jumping 2 slots in the draft.

For what??? Who is this 3rd overall that we have to have? I think the consensus is that after hughes and kk, the rest is a free for all. Unless you insisted on getting the 1 d that is a sure top 10 pick, but hes lhd, the one position we are ok at. So theres a bunch of probably nice forwards, much much better off taking bpa at 7.

I agree! I'm pretty sure I even said that I wasn't suggesting BUF should do it. Just that those moves are VERY expensive.

Lol. What are these trades.

Why would Columbus do that? A Dubinsky but out is 1.9 mil. In this we’re retaining more then it would cost to buy him out. So there’s no benefit to trading him half retained.

Woof this is bad... Why would CBJ want Forsberg back? He was fine, then we broke him. CBJ ain't ****in' Costco, they won't just take anything back in whatever state its in.

You dont think they want a do over with Forsberg? He win them the Calder. I think they want him back a little bit. Bob is leaving and Forsberg was tossed into a terrible NHL situation with the Hawks. No defense in front of him at all.

I'll be the first to say that Forsberg was hung out to dry on a lot of goals by the Hawks' **** defense. His talents are obvious, it isn't like he couldn't be a good goalie. But he also had many moments where he just plain sucked. Some of the goals he gave up were atrocious. He clearly couldn't get his head nailed on straight after Q showed that he didn't have faith in him. That's on him.

CBJ only has Merzlinkins on contract, and a few kids who need multiple years if they'll ever develop. Wouldn't be surprised to see them ink up Korpisalo again too, but both would be fighting for a backup spot, because they are looking for a solid NHL caliber goaltender outside of all the unproven guys on their roster. And Forsberg ain't it.
