Description

As we have all heard there is a rumor that Philly and Montreal are discussing a trade. IMO the trade values below are close.

Rumor also has it that Karlsson maybe looking to come to Montreal, although his injuries scare the hell out of me I don't think we can pass on him if there is a chance.

A trade of bad contracts with Edmonton. I would really like to get Puljujari in this deal, not sure if Byron and a 3rd is enough value but it should be close.

Petry becomes expendable if we sign Karlsson, Winnipeg is in cap trouble and will not be resigning Trouba, Perty is a good replacement at the same AAV that Trouba is coming off of. Ikonen, Teasdale and a 1st and a 2nd should be close, may need to add another B prospect.

Finally sending Drouin out to Colorado to reunite with his Junior running mate Nathan. Moving on from Hudon as well.

I can't see Winnipeg moving Ehlers, and god I hate Shaw so much lol. Not even because he is on Montreal just with what he did in 2016.

Whats the point of the EDM trade when you don't even put Pooparty in your lineup... Byron 100times more useful than Lucic, just bury Alzner in the minors and have more cap space now and in the future!

Even if Jets fans would be behind this kind of deal. Petry has a 10 team no-trade list. Odds are WIN are on it.

I lived 4 years in Winnipeg (as a teenager, dad was military). Nothing wrong with the place, but let's just say I was happy when we moved just outside Toronto lol

Got news for you? The Sharks and Karlsson are talking about a 8 year $88 million contract extension. So Karlsson to Montreal isn't happening.

I disagree, for a price like this I think it's worth a shot. He isn't a star player but if he is surrounded with talent like he could be on COL he could be good for 60+ points per year. Most AGMs overrate him because he was a 3rd overall pick, but for just a mid 1st rounder (and some small other pieces) I think it's pretty good value. I would be all over that deal if I was Sakic

That jets trade is atrocious for the habs, most of these dont make any sense. If Colorado is adding a LW drouin, why would they also pick up Hudon? Hudon couldnt even crack the habs lineup.

I think you have to look and see how many trades are EVER made that include more than 4 assets: Very few.

The philly trade is 5 players and 2 picks, the edm trade is 5 players and 3 picks, and the WPG trade is 5 players and 3 picks.

You can target him, sure, but not for a very good draft pick. If they want to do that you give up the 2020 pick.
