Description
Haula is kind of the odd man in this scenario. But he can jump in if any injuries happen on the left or up the middle. Or he is a trade piece at the deadline.

I think the Philly deal is great for both teams. Vegas gets a good prospect and a good pick as well as cap relief. Philly gets depth at wing and a solid RD.

what the heck is this ?

Smith by himself is worth Radcliffe and a couple PHI picks

Miller has less value but could still land a 1st from TML most deffinately along with a prospect like Gauthier

Reaves has an established price of a 1st rounder for the leagues top Fighter.
there is no way VGK moves him for less then a high to mid 2nd rounder
they may have cap questions to be answered but Eakin ,Haula and Bellmare can all be replaced for less .
trade them for picks and cheap but effective players like MTL's Charles Hudon who will make the league minimum but played 4th line with 125+ hits and 30 pts his rookie year to crack the line up .

the league's full of Charles Hudon Type's to sign Cheap .
ANA's Kalle Kossila is someone who could thrive in VGK
the list goes on

yeah PHI wins all day long

VGK on the other hand loses a consistent offensive player and a RD that could land a better package then this from TML by himself .

Because of Vegas' cap crunch I think this deal is pretty realistic. A lot of cap gone and landing a guy who looks like he can be a 30+ goal guy.

Does anybody change their thoughts if Philly gives the #11 pick instead of the 2nd and 3rd?

yea don't do it hahaha, the original trade is fair enough to me... with all the teams with cap problems, no team with cap room should come close over paying. All the power is with the teams with the cap room. Vegas, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Winnipeg, and Toronto are in the worst shape, while Nashville, Washington, and San Jose (if they sign Karlsson) are going to push right up against. You can probably throw in Anaheim in there also. Why should Philly pay fair or equal value? They can go to Toronto and get Kapanen or Johnsson and have more control over them. Worst comes to worse, teams with the cap room, like philly, can decide to spend that money in the free agent market instead, saving them assets. As a Pens fan it's a nightmare but one all these teams put themselves in, give me a reason why they should pay fair value to help another team out? Especially Philly who's in a great position and set up for success over the next 5years if not more staying the course set.

The Reaves back to STL ship has sailed, I'm afraid. He was my favorite player too, but there's no room for him now, especially when Kyrou, Kostin, and Bokk are all RWers that are close and Tarasenko, Perron, and Blais have three of the four spots locked up.

Honestly it's a move to dump his contract. It could be any team. I did pick STL because of his ties to the the team though.

Although he only needs to occupy that 4th RW spot for one season

Please give me what you think is the value of Miller then Haula, then together, if they are traded to the Sabres.
Miller = ?
Haula = ?
Miller + Haula = ?

you guys got Ristolinen and Montour i dont know why you'd want Miller

that being said

Miller for McCabe and 1st(STL 31st overall)

BUF gets a capable special teams D to play with Dahlin,Scandella,Ristolinen,and Montour.
VGK gets a depth LD to replace Merril

Haula for Girgensons , Linus Cronholm and a 5th

Haula's cap needs to go but he's still got value
Girgensons is a 4th line checker at best in BUF maybe a move to VGK sparks something in the former top 15 pick
Cronholm isnt flashy but he's the type of depth D prospect VGK needs and BUF can spare .
5th is insurance incase both players fail in VGK they can roll the dice and hopefully draft a better player .

BUF see's upside in the Haula Deal because they upgrade on ZG getting a Faceoff Center for 3rd line who can contribute offensively .
they give up RFA rights to a D they likely wont Sign to a Contract and a 5th pick.

together i'd say Miller and Haula for MacCabe , Girgensons , 1st(STL 31st overall ) and a 5th
combined what Mccabe and Girgensons will cost will be under Haula's cap while having a 31st overall pick and a 5th for these moves.
