Then lets do it lol I think like Faulk would be very good on the Leafs with Muzzin as his LH partner. Also Kadri traded for 1RHD and we would have Wallmark as 3C which is benefitial and you will have Kapanen to Aho or Teravainen which is instant chemistry and Bracco for PPs on bottom-6 and would play most of PP time.. it makes sense.

So in recap, the idea is Kap/Bracco/3rd for Faulk and Wallmark? I get the idea, but I don’t think the value is there for the Canes. There is an element of giving away known commodities for unknown commodities. I know I’m being wishy-washy but I don’t think I’d do that deal. I’m not convinced Bracco makes the roster, and the 3rd brings no real value for me.

Sign Eberle as a UFA. He was 54th in the league on Natural Stat Trick's PP xGF and he's a free asset (only costs cap space). Also a deal centered on moving one of the RD for Kadri looks to fit the team needs and team surpluses on both signs. Kadri is 28th in PP xGF.

There was a report that Kadri has Carolina on his NO list. There wasn’t mention if he’d waive but obviously not a great start.

That's an easy no from Toronto. Faulk isn't their target from Carolina. Pesce and Hamilton are and it's been well known. Giving up 3 good young players for a 1 year rental isn't the idea the Leafs want to do. Value wise it makes no sense and logic wise it doesn't. That package could get a better d-man on a 1 year rental than Faulk. He's a liability in his own and and his skating isn't really all that great. Can't see Toronto being interested in that

You'd only get Kadri in a deal involving Pesce or Hamilton. Kadri also has Carolina on his 8 team NTC list, doubt he'd waive it to go there. Be nice for Toronto, but I think he likes playing in the bigger markets

I've never seen this report but perhaps he wouldn't allow the deal to go through. I think it would be a great fit for both teams (package centered around Kadri for Hamilton or Faulk with a contract extension). Perhaps Carolina's run last year could convince him to make the move to a up and coming team where he'd have a more important role than on the Leafs buried behind Mathews and Tavares.
