Thanks for your input... Carolina currently has 0 goalies... and though they have cap space, they have a lot of skilled forwards to re-sign... how would you adjust it?

or are you one of those "Spacek is untouchable" guys?

saw something funny. If rangers resign Hayes and trade Andersson + 20th for Trouba.. it'll essentially be an exact Andersson for Trouba swap with the rangers allowing WPG to have Hayes temporarily with a 1st as collateral

Is the price on Ehlers much higher than Trouba's because he has a contract in place?? I feel like with Sanheim in that deal its really bad for the Flyers.

Keep exploring ideas because you aren't getting Sanheim straight up for Ehlers!

That's exactly it.

You're getting a 60 point 23 year old winger, on a really nice 6 year contract.

Would you be interested in swaping Sanheim for 11oa and the third for a second?

Probably not... that leaves a huge hole on Defense. Perhaps 11 OA and Hagg... but I still think the Jets would prefer the better defenseman than the 1st, in this scenario. Because of the 1st in the Trouba trade.

If Winnipeg were to get, say Trocheck and a 3rd for Trouba, then the 1st becomes more interesting...

Hamilton is an elite d man...Winnipeg isn't giving up ANYTHING of value in this trade AND they're getting a 3rd rounder as well. To acquire Hamilton it would take a good young roster player or a top prospect and a 1st rounder. Comrie, Green and Spacek doesn't come close in my opinion.

I just don't see the Flyers dealing Sanheim.. Not saying he's untouchable but I feel like they wouldn't include him in a deal like this.

Yes you are, and then some, not saying the flyers will or that this one is fair, but philly easily wins a 1 for 1

So, what do you think that means for Jacob Trouba? Assuming any acquiring team can get him with a contract extension in place... he should be bringing back an absolute King's ransom, if you think Hamilton is worth Everything you're saying he is... With a long-term contract, Trouba is a much better player. By your Hamilton Valuation... Trouba should be worth at least a 2C, another roster player, a decent prospect and a 1st.

How exactly does Philly win a 1 for 1? Sanheim has massive upside where Ehlers is likely a 60-65 point player. That’s a hard no! D men are more valuable than wingers every day of the week.

Sanheims ceiling is probably a top tier #2/3 like say jared spurgeon, and ehlers ceiling is higher than that

Yeah. It is... He's a young forward with elite skill... He's defensively responsible, and drives offense with his speed. He had a down year due to injuries. . But he's 23, and has scored 60 points in the NHL twice already.

I didn't say he was elite... I said he has elite skill....... Indicating the tools are there for him to grow into an elite player. He's as skilled a player as the Flyers have right now, save for Giroux... At 23 years old, he has not nearly reached his ceiling.
