Leafs say no. They don't need salary back, especially not Russell and Manning.

Canucks say no. They have enough bottom six forwards as is that they are going to have to buy out or bury some in the minors; they don't need another in Khaira who is not an incentive enough to take on the extra year of Lucic.

Sens say no, they are not taking on Gagner's deal for just a 6th round pick.

Capitals....I doubt it, I'd say Burakovsky could fetch them more.

capitals say no.....besides having a cool name Hawkey doesnt help us being a 24 year old unproven goalie....we are deep at goal and would much rather have a wing/center prospect

Gagner was the 4th leading scorer among Oilers forwards last year (P/60), if Ottawa has half a brain they'd jump on that deal. It's for 1 year, there's little to no risk.

If they are that high on him they should just keep him. $3.15M isn't bad if there is little to no risk of him falling back from that production.

Not saying Gagner is thrash btw, he is overpaid as a 3rd line scorer and PP guru, but he can still play.

I'd agree no risk for Ottawa; but I think Ottawa would rather capitalize on their capspace and acquire meaningful assets for taking on contracts. Giving up a 6th to have a guy fill a uniform for a year is pointless imo.

They likely will just keep him. This mock wasn't put together by Holland AFAIK.

I can't imagine Toronto being interested in either Russell or Manning, even as a cap dump (i.e., for a fifth-round pick or lower).

Zaitsev's starting price alone is a little better than that

Apparently dubas’ ask for zaitsev alone is a mid pick bottom pairing D and a prosecutor etc. So no... this is not even close.

I'm guessing auto-"correct" changed some form of "prospect" to "prosecutor" [and while I was typing that last word, auto-correct guessed "predictor"]

Yup, just a prospect... things haven’t got that bad with the marner negotiations... I hope lol.
