NJ wouldn't do that IMO. Wood is younger and on a better contract.

Would STL be willing to give up a pick to make them take that? Or retain some salary? I think NJ is by far the best place for Steen to go as it is right now.

Have you lost your ever-loving mind giving Petro over $9 million???? Dunn and Thomas need to get paid too. So too will Parayko in a few. That'd be fiscal mismanagement Arthur Andersen-style.

I was told I lost my mind for giving him my original estimate of 7.5.

Armstrong needs to maintain a spine with Petro and not fall for the "he captained us to a cup" myopia I'm afraid he'll experience. I hope he doesn't extend him and let him start the year with us. Come trade deadline, when the Leafs come to their senses and realize they are going to lose again to the Bruins in the first round, perhaps they'll throw a gold mine at the Blues. We get younger, more cap space, keep our top RHD, thank him for his services, and move on. Let the Senior Marlies worry about him when he's in his mid-30s.

Don't listen to him, he has this strange irrational bias against Petro and Tarasenko.

However... and I can't believe this is the third time I've had to tell someone this... nooooooooooo to this OTT trade idea. No no no no no NO.

I doubt LA or NJ go for those deals, so I won't even coment on them.
