Charlie McAvoy doesn't take that upwards of 7M and a 7-year deal.

As reported by McKenzie, he only wants a bridge deal

What are Bruin fans hearing about Krug? Keep seeing potential Krug to Detroit rumors popping up.

Love him. But this summer is the last opportunity to get something in return for him. Next summer he is a UFA an probably asks for 6.5-8M a year. Bruins can't afford that.

I sat right next to his dad in game four against the hurricanes and asked him about the report that his son turning down an 8 year at 8M pet and he said that deal was never offered to him but I directly asked him does he want a bridge deal or a long-term deal he said he would take either or he just wants to be in Boston.

I saw one even saying that Krug might be seeking between 8.0-9M per, If that's the case hope Yzerman doesn't deal for him. That's too rich for our blood.

Yes the Bruins cannot afford that but from what I’m hearing that $6.5M to $8M is on the low-end I’m hearing he’s going to be using Karlsson’s deal as a comparison but not get the $11M per but ask for $10M per.

Well that's ridiculous... I think Karlsson will face reality this offseason (max. 9M) and so will Krug next year. I love Krug and don't want him to leave, but 7-7.5M is his value, everthing above is to much.

The most ridiculous thing about Karlsson (and Krug?) is that they want 7-8 year deals... Thank you, but no thank you. They are not worth it. Both are smaller guys and not free from injuries.

I totally understand that from a Detroit perspective. Not worth the money...

Wings don’t touch that

Let someone else sign MoJo. Was a nice fit but with his injury/concussion history it’s a problem contract waiting to happen.

Also, per nhl.discussion (take that to be as credible as you want) The sharks are closing on an 8 year $11mil AAV with Karlsson as we speak

Well EK just signed to what I said....you wanna rethink what Krug is going to ask for?

He is it for ~4 years. 4x10 would have been fair imo. He is an awesome offensive defenseman, but imo not worth 11M... Sharks will regret this signing.

The Sharks were dumb enough to give him this contract. Hurts the franchise long term. Bruins probably should trade Krug now...

I say it again... Not worth the money. What's next for the Sharks? Trading Meier/Labanc? Not re-signing Pavelski (team captain and role model)? I highly doubt that this signing was a good idea...

agree to disagree i guess. but id rather pay Karlsson (who deserves that contract) than pay pavelski to be a role model, theyve got plenty of guys to fill that role
