Yup that's an idea, he's getting paid center money now so that's where he can play.
Have heard the analytics said he wasn't very good when he filled in at C when Scheiffele was injured but he did okay and I'm sure he'd be fine. Like the looks of that 3rd line, it's a massive improvement over Lowry and Tanev being there.

Laine and Conner are going to get at least 8.5 per. Both scored over 30 goals last 2 seasons.

Where would the money for JMo in a year come from? That would be playing real close to the cap, with no real space coming off the books for 2020

Saying that Conner will get over 8.5 million is absolutely absurd. The Nylander contract is a good comparable. Account the cap % and add a little fro more years and the most he is getting is 7.5
