Why would Calgary do this? Gaudreau is by far the better player here and he is on a great contract.

No chance does Calgary give away Gaudreau like that, as much as I would like to see it. Gaudreau is on a solid contract with some term, Hall has one year remaining. Also, I'd say it's an overpayment for Butcher. Zacha may get a little more as well, not by much though. Maybe 2 to 2.2 x 3 or 4.

Hmm... Seems, no one can read a description. It says HALL EXTENDS! Also, I am a Flames fan and I would accept in a heartbeat. Gaudreau is a perimeter player and playoff disaster but Hall is an MVP and I think he could play well in the playoffs

Hall is extending north of 10M. Calgary doesn't have that room. At least they have an elite guy under 7M for 3 years. No deal on Calgary's side.
