You want Mantha, And we want your best D prospect. Probably starts with Adam Boqvist and then some.

Lol that’s funny. I think the trade purposed is very fair. Remove the conditions on the first though.

I think it’s a bit light even with the condition removed but it’s a starting point

Manthas really good, no doubt, but chad Krys is a solid prospect and that pick could very well be another top 10 pick. I guess it depends how Chicago does. If hawks finally bounce back and make the playoffs, it’s not a great trade for Detroit, if hawks are bottom 10 in the leauge again, it’s a good deal for the wings. I guess adding mantha would certainly help Chicago’s playoff chances though

That’s what gives me pause. The unknown of the pick.

How's it fair? Mantha is already proven and those 2 pieces are nowhere close to Mantha's value. Asking for Boqvist is more then fair. Bowman wont do it. But that's at least what Yzerman would be asking for.

Hakkarainen is a nothing prospect. Overage playing in the USHL. Krys is a small defenseman. Put up in limited games in the AHL...but the sample size is REALLY limited. Would probably take Boqvist and the 1st for Mantha.

Krys is a solid prospect but Chicago has 7 or 8 D prospects that are better Krys.

Boqvist is a top D prospect. No way you get him. And like I said all depends on Chicago’s pick. I guess this hawks team would probably make the playoffs so up the prospect to Ian Mitchell or something. If hawks were bottom 10 again this offer would be more than fair

And there's no way Yzerman moves Mantha for Krys and a 1st. Why would he move a young player when that's what he needs? If Mantha was going into his UFA year it's a different story.

Like I said if it’s a top 10 pick that’s a nice return but it probably wouldn’t be so Yzerman wouldn’t do that

Got news for you? In any deal if you want Mantha it's going to take a top D prospect to get him. Those pieces are nowhere enticing enough to give up Mantha. There's already some talk of a deal of Mantha+ for Torey Krug. Got news for you Krug is by far more valuable then Adam Boqvist. That's for sure.

I get this isn't an ideal deal but Boqvist is a prospect you trade for a Taylor Hall, not Anthony Mantha.

Why would Detroit give away Mantha for this? They have no cap issues where they can't afford the extension proposed. The return is basically a 3rd/4th line center, a #4 d-man, and a mid to late 1st round 2020 pick for a 1st/2nd line power forward sniper.

The Wings already have organizational depth at center (Larkin, AA, Rasmussen, Veleno, they're stuck with Nielsen for another 3 years, and Helm another 2. Plus have their own 5th round C that just went pro from the NCAA, Chase Pearson). With the 6th pick in the draft they're probably going to end up with another center. They don't need Hakkarainen (who seems like a throw in).

Krys seems like their 4th best defensive prospect and a 2nd pairing d-man according to dobberprospects. Contrary to popular belief the Wings already have solid prospect young d-men that seem to be #2-5 d-men (Hronek, McIsaac, Cholowski, Lindstrom--in that order--all were drafted in 1st or 2nd round from 2016 to 2018). They already have 3rd pair d-man Madison Bowey. They just signed Oliwer Kaski an offensive d-man from the Finnish Elite League with size who will help compete. They would be looking for top pairing d-men at this point--esp if they are trading away Mantha.

Mantha is a good player I’m not knocking him but he’s not fetching boqvist. And like I said if hawks were to be non-playoff Team again, that top 10 pick would be a top D prospect. So newsflash, you’re over valuing your players

laugh Adam Boqvist would never return Taylor Hall either, That's just not being realistic. Boqvist has proven zilch yet.

Okay? So has Filip Zadina. So go trade him for Jonathan drouin. I bet you would never make that trade. And neither would Chicago with boqvist for mantha.

Abso-****in-lutely. That being said, Everyone knows how good Boqvist is going to be, and I guarantee you if NJ is facing a realistic possibility of losing Hall, they are thrilled to have that chat with Bowman. Not saying it would be one to one, obviously, but Boqvist moves the needle nearly enough to get it done, I bet ya.

Terrible for Detroit. Mantha isn't for sale, it would take an overpayment to acquire him.

I'm pretty sure neither Yzerman or Drouin would ever want to be on the same team again.

Are Detroit fans overvaluing Mantha? Yes but about the same amount as he is being undervalued here.'

Chicago has 5 players that had more points than Mantha and Detroit has 2. Since Mantha had 15 points in the last 10 games and carried it over to the World Championship it look like he may finally break out. So with Detroit lack of scoring and Mantha's recent performance if you want him you are going to over pay for him. Detroit has no reason to trade him.
