Ghost Gone Trouba In

Created by: Jaycee
Team: 2019-20 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 16, 2019
Published: Jun. 16, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
A lot of rumors going around with Ghost and MTL. In my opinion this makes the most sense for Ghosts value and fill the hole at RW. Allows Konecny to move down to 3RW playing with his best buds Patty and Oskar. After that move I would believe Fletcher would make a push to address the Defense. My guy is Trouba i think he is a perfect fit especially after getting Niskanen. They could go a cheaper route to fill RD with a move for Colin Miller. But i believe we need a true top pairing guy. Clearly Niskanen days of being that are behind him. Give up a hefty amount of assets and talented ones at that. However it will be necessary with a lot of teams in the running for Trouba. Cap may be a bit iffy for the future, but ideally eventually would have to move out either Voracek or JVR especially with promising prospects in Frost and Ratcliffe playing on the wing. Sanheim is given a 2 year bridge deal just in time for when Niskanens contract expires.

Trouba isn't signing long term before hitting free agency next summer, especially not for less than he'll get on the open market

*Not signing in Winnipeg long term.
He will take a long term contract if it’s a place he wants to be. Man just wants out of Winnipeg, can’t blame him he grew up in the states.

Not Farabee, Frost or Ratcliffe, only 3 untouchable prospects....

Well Fletcher said nobody’s untouchable besides Giroux, Hart and Couturier. Wouldn’t hurt losing one prospect out of the 3 to have a cup contending team.

Think this is the most realistic option I’ve seen from another Flyers fan on here. Think this is about the best we could do. I personally prefer Kadri since the cap hit is lower though. Not sure what that price tag is

Kadri instead of Hayes at C or Drouin on RW?

I definatley wouldn’t put Ratcliffe as high as the the other 2. He’s looked good but still has holes in his game, he’s still far from making it as a high scoring winger in the NHL, at least much further than Frost and Farabee

What makes you think that Trouba has any interest in Philly? He's not from Philly hence Detroit. He grew up a Red Wings fan and has made it abundantly clear he wants to play there. He either wants to be near family in Michigan or near his fiancee here in Florida. So i doubt there's going to be many true bidders as more then likely he only does long term extensions with those two teams.

FWIW Your Trouba signing isn't realistic, Trouba either gets on a sign and trade 8 x 8 or possibly 8 x 8.5 no way he's signing in Philly for that low.

If we could swap hagg and Strome for Myers that would be best. I would be willing to add a low prospect like green

I just don’t see Yzerman making a trade giving up a lot of assets they’ve acquired through rebuild when they aren’t a cup contending team. I believe he has more options then just two that he would want to play for. In the end money talks. Someone will trade for him and pay the man.

Instead of Hayes. Kadri signed for a few more at only 4 mill.

Wouldn’t mind that depending what it takes to get him. If we do that Trouba trade we are already taking a hit to the prospect pool losing Farabee and Strome, as well as missing out on getting a pretty good player at 11 in this year’s deep draft. I just think Hayes will sign.
