Tampa is not going to retain salary and give the Wings their 1st round pick. And the trade would have to have say Daley and 50% retained going to Tampa to get that 1st rounder...otherwise it would be their 2nd rounder.

They wouldn't even need to... Detroit just takes the whole contract as your lineup still leaves them with 15m in space... no reason for TB to retain any salary and no reason for Detroit to ask them to...
