Value favours Vegas considerably in the Leafs deal in my opinion. Haula was no where near replicating his best season in terms of pace.

schmidt and Eakin aren’t enough for Subban. Try Tuch or Smith, Nashville needs forwards not defensemen and Cody Eakin isn’t that good.

Arizona will not offer sheet Karlsson, they are almost at the cap this year.

Haula had problems all year last year with his knee I think. He could have a bounceback after a long break. Ofc this is just speculating, but you could be huge winner at the deal. Also you receive a nice RHD in the move as well.

Eakin had more goals than any other NSH C last year. And he's considered more as a defensive center. He has pretty good value, especially when half retained. Could be a very nice 3C, or possibly even 2C if Turris doesn't get any better.

Also NSH saves money in the move as well.

Like said in the move, the team doesn't matter. It can be ARI, or some other team.

And I think they can actually afford to do it. Otherwise they wouldn't rumored to be after Duchene, or possibly be taking Marleau.

Seems like a high risk-low reward scenario of acquiring Miller.

So what? He is not going to be accepted in a trade for Subban...that’s a pipe dream.

Honestly the only risky part here is Kadri. You don't really need that pick as it's going to be relatively low or those other assets.

Kadri and Haula had equal points in 2017-18. That already proves that Haula has the potential to be as good as him when he gets fit to play.

You seem to gravely underestimate Schmidt as well.

Here's a statistics comparison for Schmidt and Subban from the last 3 years.

Schmidt's underlying statistics are actually better than Subban's in most parts.

Find me five people who take Schmidt over Subban and I’ll tell you you’re right and apologize for wasting your time. Good luck.

Sorry, mate. I value statistics above opinions.

Also even I think Subban has more value. Hence there are Eakin, 2nd and 3rd added.

Having one equal stat once in their career does not an equal make. Maybe I have misjudged him. I'll look him up again the next proposal I see.

I think rather then it’s better to use Karlsson in a deal with Nashville, they just have Turris and Bonino, which are about the same level with Eakin and although he had a breakthrough season in Vegas, but Wild Bill is clearly above the level and what Nashville needs.

I agree. But the main idea of this post was how to manage if he gets offer sheeted.

I just like that Vegas ends up with all the Subban brothers.
