No thanks. Don't see why DAL would take all of NYR UFAs lol. Would rather use the picks as our prospect pool is quite thin.

Kreider at the deadline will get a 1st and a prospect.

So outside of the Zucc pick, you are essentially trading
18th + 3rd rounder in 2 years + Hanzal for Shattenkrik with retained, Kreider and a 4th next year.
Hardly enough for the rangers to even consider.

If you want this from the rangers, it would be 2019 1st rounder + Robertson

Cap dump of Hanzal hurts the value of the package going back to the rangers. You will argue that Shattenkirk is a cap dump but rangers are retaining half for two years. He's never been a top line defenseman but he's a solid 2nd pairing that drives possession and can put up 40 points per 82 games and at under 4m that's a steal.

My values:
Kreider > 18th overall, especially if he signs an extension (he's worth 18 and pretty decent prospect w/o extension, similar to Hayes trade to WPG last year (1st + lemieux))
Shattenkirk @ half > 2nd rounder (not saying he's worth a 1st, he's worth like a 2nd and 3rd)

So no condition for resigning kreider + difference of kreider>18th + shattenkirk @ half = robertson + cap dump

Totally understand where you are coming from I just took this trade from https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1227810 and was seeing how it looked for Dallas
