Description

I realize this is probably too much to give up from NJD's perspective but I would love to see something similar.

With Karlsson off the table, I think Trouba's trade value only increases...not saying this will happen but either way, super excited to see what we get in return.

For what Perreault and Trouba can get in other trades, I dont think this is unreasonable...I like this team as well...

If we can trade Kulikov elsewhere as well, I would add Chiarot and Par Lindholm(instead of McLeod)

So the Devils trade all that...just to finish out of the playoffs. Just don't think potential lottery teams are in the market to obtain a one year rental.

Trouba might be a bit better than Severson, but he's going to cost double the cap space long term

Value-wise I don't think this trade is too far off. I like Bratt, Butcher showed signs of becoming a good Top 4 D, but I think took a step back last season if I was reading correctly. Taking on Kulikov's cap hit is going to lessen the return, but no matter what the trade is I feel like it starts with Severson and works its way out from there. I know Devils fans aren't keen on trading Severson so we will see what happens!

This is the trade that should've happened. Would've been a far better return than what we got. Wouldn't even need to include Boqvist.
