Neal is a good bounce back candidate. A little patience could save Treliving paying a 1st rounder to move his contract.

But adding Toffoli and Donskoi would help the team out a lot. They have a few different options with Neal.

Both Neal and Bennett have suffered from the same malady - having Janko as their centreman. We need to upgrade that position and Neal can bounce back!

I agree. I don't get why they didn't use Ryan in the #3 spot after about mid-way through the year. He really improved over the course of the season and is actually not bad at carrying and distributing the puck (which is what Neal relies on his centreman to do).



No way they should shoot themselves in the foot twice over the Neal contract after just one season. With a better puck carrier as his center, I still think he has a couple 20-20 seasons left in him as his game shouldn't have really fallen off a cliff at 30 as it has never relied on speed.
