I don't think they would have traded for him if they weren't sure they could sign him. Probably in the 7.5 AAV range?

Yeah I'm thinking that they will likely offer an 8x8, so that they dont risk him saying he will go to ufa. Was really hoping he would end up In Detroit as a UFA but oh well. Nice pick up for the rangers.

Now the Rangers think they have to sign him at any cost to justify the trade to acquire him. Gotta think San Jose overpaid Karlsson so it didn't look like they gave away future for a one year up run.

Potentially he could sign but with the bad blood between Trouba and the Jets he wasn't going to help them out with a sign and trade to get more in return.

Trouba has all the power so Rangers will probably have to over pay him to hush all those Detroit and Florida rumours. 8.5m x 8 years

We don't have an issue with Wings nation, as a whole. This one particular Wings fan has been trolling Ranger fans for months over anything Trouba related. Citing his "expertise" and "inside sources" in every occurrence.

Lolol. I’m a wings fan and was in love with the idea of getting Trouba. But I figured it’d be the rangers if it wasn’t us and my goodness you guys deserve him. Literally just stole him from the jets. Major W to the rangers GM!!!
