Your trades are interesting. And actually pretty fare. A 1st to eat okposos contract is a lot. Dont Think you have the right team though. Arizona is kinda trying to do the right thing. Can see Ottawa doing it, to make the minimum though.

in the description i mention that the Okposo trade would be to any willing team.. i just forgot to mention it in the trade notes.

Obviously overlooked it. I can see Bryam somehow dropping to 5. Hawks are kinda ok at depth with LDs, Colorado could take Dach, have an awesome 1C 2C tandem in a couple years.
Weirder things have happened so anything's possible. Would mean giving up less too.

I think if Byram gets to LAK @ 5 they take him for sure.. but you're right anything could happen. To me getting Byram would be the best case scenario for Buffalo in the 1st round

Then does that mean Dahlin eventually moves to RD?
Realistically I can see buffalo taking Caufield. Him and Eichel would be a good combo (looking past the defensive problems)

nah i think you have Dahlin stay LD on the 1st pair and eventually Byram LD on the 2nd pair.. both making whomever they are partnered with better.. then buffalo has an elite top 4. My only hesitation with Caufield is that he played with Hughes almost exclusively so how much of Caufield's production was just based on that alone.. but that being said after Byram, Caufield would probably be my next pick..

We need an influx of talent. Trading 3 1sts and getting only one back will destroy the franchise. All to make cap room for Matt duchene

Very nice. I would not have thought of moving Okposo to make space to sign Duchene,
We all have a different evaluation of the Sabre talent so yours may be better than mine, but here is my pea brain evaluation.
Larsson and Girgensons are nearly equal. Girgensons is a little more physical, Larsson is a better center, I think their trade value would be about the same.
I think Scandella has some value, but your concept is fair and maybe what it takes to move his $4,000,000 contract.
This site was developed by examining the trades GM's made to exchange draft picks https://www.broadstreethockey.com/2013/4/25/4262594/nhl-draft-pick-value-trading-up Buffalo's 2 first round picks is a bit of an over payment based on this data. Asplund, Rasmus and Thompson, Tage could be taken out of the trade. As a matter of fact, using that site to make the trade fair Colorado would need to add Ottawa's 3rd round pick.
IMO Tampa would love that trade.
While i think Okposo has value if used properly, giving up a first round draft pick to make room for Duchene seems to make sense.
Over all very plausible as I think Buffalo is over paying in nearly every trade, but as I said, I may be overvaluing the Sabre assets.

Very possible i think i always air on the side of slight overpayment as far as trades go (why i'm just and armchair GM lmao) but i hate trades you see like Okposo and a fourth for Brayden Point.. stuff like that.. so i'd rather overpay a bit, to ensure a more realistic trade proposal.
