Description

I am not sure if Panarin or Duchene signs back. However, as you can see, if money is an issue for these two players the Jackets can offer them very lucrative contracts and still be very competitive in the upcoming years.

I personally think Wennberg will get dealt in this scenario but too early to see who would be the contenders.

Again this is not a prediction, but more of a projection to show that even though neither Duchene nor Panarin have signed back, they very well could circle back if the money or term from other teams isn't exactly to their liking.

If I were CBJ I'd inquire with other teams about a sign and trade possibility. Like taking a prospect or a pick in exchange to 8 years of Panarin/Bobrovsky/Duchene.

what does yesterday have to do with any of this? People aren't free agents till july 1st. We haven't even hit the draft yet and that's when a lot of stuff gets done.

If anything the recent moves that have been made have more to do with CBJ chances at moving a defense man for a return. People in need are scooping them up before the draft. The last 3 trades are a straight run on defense. And I think you will probably see a few more before we hit the draft.
