I think Anaheim would spit at that offer for sure. If you want Manson, it has to be Nylander going back

You are definitely overrating Manson then. Last two seasons he was given the top 4 position and his stats are below average now. Not like the 5-6 minutes where he was tearing it up.

Maybe I don't watch enough Sharks games but both have put up better rookie campaigns than Meier did and both will fit within our cap range better. Not to mention acquiring Meier does not solve any of our issues. Sure there's the addition of Braun but he's 32 and the Leafs would leverage either wingers in a different deal for a younger RHD.

It wasn't really a dig at Meier more like a trade that doesn't solve our problems

I think Kap + Johnsson cap value together will = Meier

Yeah essentially, so taking on that kind of cap for 1 guy makes no sense when we could deal 1 of the 2 for a younger D than Braun.

I also don't see the Sharks parting with Meier.

True, but they can fill two spots in the Line, and Meier just one....now do the math point wise also, not just AAV...66 < 87

I don't think adding Meier making the Leafs that much better.

That being said, I think they definitely call about Braun and Dell. I'd offer a 3rd and 4th rounder and see what happens.
