Trades
1.
LAK
  1. Kapanen, Kasperi [RFA Rights]
  2. Marleau, Patrick
  3. 2020 7th round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Kings take on a bad contract to get a great youngster in kapanen.
TOR
  1. Campbell, Jack
  2. Walker, Sean
  3. 2019 3rd round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
Leafs clear cap space and get a backup goalie and a pick for giving up Kapanen.
2.
LAK
  1. 2020 4th round pick (ARI)
Additional Details:
Get a pick for an unneeded player. Solid
ARI
  1. Lewis, Trevor
  2. 2020 7th round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Adds some experience to the young Coyotes team. I feel like he's been in the NHL forever!
3.
LAK
  1. 2019 2nd round pick (MTL)
  2. 2019 5th round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
Kings free up more space for prospects and continue the gutting of the team by giving up a blueline mainstay for a second round pick
MTL
  1. Martinez, Alec
Additional Details:
Habs don't get Karlsson so they panik
(get it?...) and ship 2 picks to the Kings for a real solid defenceman to help with the playoff push
4.
LAK
  1. Englund, Andreas
  2. Jaros, Christian
  3. 2020 3rd round pick (CBJ)
  4. 2021 7th round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Kings get 2 young defenseman and a pick improvement fr an injury prone center, and a worse defenseman
OTT
  1. Carter, Jeff ($1,000,000 retained)
  2. MacDermid, Kurtis
  3. 2019 6th round pick (LAK)
  4. 2020 4th round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
Sens have nothing to lose here. Carter is a name that might help attract seats. Kings retain some salary, and he helps them get closer to the cap floor. They also have nothing to lose cap wise, as the recapture penalties if he retires go to LA. Sens also clear up the jam at 5-7 D man. Don't forget, when he's healthy, Carter is an extremely serviceable top 6 center
5.
LAK
  1. Callahan, Ryan
  2. Katchouk, Boris
  3. 2019 6th round pick (TBL)
  4. 2021 3rd round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Kings get more picks, and a really nice prospect who plays their style of game. Take on Callahan but it really doesn't matter because of the additional pieces. Also make a roster spot by getting rid of clifford
TBL
  1. Clifford, Kyle
  2. 2019 2nd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
Lightning can now sign Point with cap room saved here. Also get a pick upgrade for giving up Katchouk, and a serviceable bottom 6 guy in Clifford, who has Cup experience.
6.
LAK
  1. 2019 1st round pick (CHI)
  2. 2019 4th round pick (BOS)
  3. 2020 6th round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
Blackhawks know why we make this trade. WE NEED BOWEN!! Our lack of defenseman prospects is unnerving; thus we ship off 2 picks to our mortal rivals in exchange for the right to select Bowen Byram 3rd overall, jumping Colorado. Sure we give up multiple first round picks but the payoff of Byram will hopefully be worth it. If not, knowing the Kings, we select Podkolzin and he's a bust
CHI
  1. Eyssimont, Michael
  2. 2019 1st round pick (TOR)
  3. 2019 1st round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
Kings are desperate here and blackhawks don'T need another defenseman with all their youth (Boqvist, Jokiharu, Maatta, Gustafsson). Hawks take advantage of the desperation by acquiring 2 first rounders, one being the fifth pick. With this pick, the Hawks have the choice to basically do whatever they want. They could decide to trade down for more assets, select a center like Dach or Turcotte or Zegras, or go with a Podkolzin or Claufield. They also could end up with a defenseman like Broberg or Soderstrom with their next first rounder (Leafs) anyway.

CHI trade. Hell no. Coming from a Chicago fan. We’re not taking byram. We just traded for Maatta. If anything trade with Colorado. They are almost guaranteed byram because of their lack of D prospects besides makar

I actually disagree. I'm a CHI fan and I'm 100% for drafting the best available. I think it's Bowen Byram. So...if Stan really feels like the Centers are that close together in comparison...and are close enough to Byram. I'd make this trade as a Hawks fan. Another 1st rounder is big.

***EDIT*** Also, either Maatta or Murphy will be gone to seattle...most likely. So it would be beneficial to have a lot of D prospects. in the system. They're not all going to pan out either.

We don’t need middle first rounders. We are a good team. We just traded for maatta. Lmfao were not taking byram.

ok let's plays devils advocate here. If you're sure we're not drafting Byram...then you should want this trade even more. It's an extra 1st rounder

But middle first rounders are more likely to become busts

It makes sense to take a top 5 player rather than pick late. That’s a stupid idea

BUT this is providing both. It assumes Hughes, Kakko, Byram are gone. Then 4th pick will be a Center...then the hawks pick. So the Hawk still have a top 5 player...AND...another 1st.

Carter will retire rather than be traded.

He's stated that he will play out the remainder of his contract
