Although both of these guys are on expiring deals, they represent the type of player I would hope Toronto goes for. Gustafsson is a lefty but played right this year and did a great job. He's probably a more ideal partner for Muzzin (who is used to playing with another lefty). Braun is insurance and can be had cheaply from SJ I think due to them needing to shed cap. Could also look for Colin Miller here. You can also sign a low-cost veteran option to help out until Dermott comes back and give you insurance (just not Hainsey). Obviously I'd like to give up less for Gustafsson just not sure you have that option.

I have tried to hit approximate value of what I believe Zaitsev and Brown are worth. I would NOT add anything to a Zaitsev deal, as I'd rather play him then give up assets.

Marleau costs you to move, I think that's close?

This lineup gives lots of flexibility. You can play Kadri up with Matthews and Nylander if you want because Goodrow can handle 3C duties (or at least partial). Bracco could also challenge for a spot here. I don't think you can make the top-9 too much better with the financial limits you have.
