I see a normal trend of you saying the leafs have to over pay in every deal. What are your Zaitsev thoughts?

he's close to being a negative value asset, but I don't think he is. Trade him with a 6th for a 5th or something.

I'm assuming you comment this on every Armchair GM post since every GM says no according to you.

He might be a negative value asset to me and you but around the league it seems like Zaitsev is garnering some interest, especially from the Oilers and Nucks. I'm confident that Zaitsev could be packaged in a positive-value/neutral-value deal like the one above.

Why would Edmonton take on that many contracts from the Leafs, and retain part of Larsson's salary, when they are in cap trouble and are looking for cap relief?

Remember this is capfriendly my friend, the leafs must overpay in any deal, which makes you think their players are not all that valuable...however, when you mention re-signing these same players, the leafs must always overpay on their contracts...hard to wrap your head around it sometimes.

Doom and gloom about the most popular team sells. We just have to deal with it

1. Kenny Holland has been a bad GM for years now.
2. Oilers showed interest in Brown at the deadline and are reportedly interested in Zaitsev atm.
3. They are getting significant future value in the picks + Bracco, who was arguably the best prospect in the A this past year.
