Instead of signing Lee (to a deal he wont sign) why not trade with the jets.
Kulikov (could play 3rd pairing RD), Perreault, (In lee's spot), and a 3rd for Juulsen?

Juulsen looks like he might block the way for Fleury or Brook down the road and both have more potential

Kulikov and the 3rd cancel out so essentially Perreault for Juulsen. Both are worth a 3rd IMO

What do you think juulsen is worth?

My thought process was that Fox who was the NCAA's top 3 defencemen and is younger than juulsen got a 2nd and a 3rd. Juulsen should get a 3rd by that standard

Well it was known league round Fox would only play n the rangers which is why his return was so low. Juulsen is definitely worth at least a 1st and probably more

That was not the case for Fox. He just wasn't signing in CAR. It was just the case that NYR were the frontrunners and out paid everyone. He was willing to sign other places as well.

Juulsen being worth a 1st, that's actually hilarious. Sami Niku has more upside on the left side (more offensively/same defensively) and I would say he is worth an early 2nd if someone is desperate. Juulsen for a late 2nd/early 3rd is fair, which is Perreault's value (which is so low because the jets need cap space and his usage on a checking line caused his production to suffer).

You overvalue your pieces.
He is worth that but will not be traded for that as prospect are generally never traded for picks. I am sending you Perreault who is equivalent in value. So I would be a 1 for 1. Addresses both teams' needs. Gives Juulsen an NHL job where he can grow into a larger role (something he cant do in MTL) and Habs get a talented, speedy, versataile, and most importantly possession driving winger for Kotkaneimi.
