Trades
1.
LAK
  1. Juulsen, Noah
  2. Lindgren, Charlie
  3. Poehling, Ryan
  4. 2019 1st round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
LA gets a HUGE haul for Kopitar. Poehling is a phenomenal prospect, and the 15th pick is also involved. Juulsen is a solid prospect too. I like this trade for both teams.
MTL
  1. Grundström, Carl
  2. Kopitar, Anze
  3. 2019 3rd round pick (LAK)
  4. 2020 5th round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
Montréal gets their 1C. Kopitar is a top 35 player in the NHL. Grundstrom isn't a bad prospect either. It's more of a panic move after not getting Karlsson, and they don't mind giving up Poehling as they have Suzuki and Kotkoniemi
2.
LAK
  1. Reimer, James
  2. Weegar, MacKenzie [RFA Rights]
  3. 2021 2nd round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
I love MacKenzie Weegar. He went to my school and my favourite teacher showed me some of his highlights. Reimer is a temporary number 1/2 goalie. Weegar plays the Kings' style, and I would love to see him with us. A pick upgrade is also involved
FLA
  1. Kovalchuk, Ilya ($1,350,000 retained)
  2. 2019 3rd round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
Even despite being a healthy scratch for a few games, Kovalchuk was still fairly productive. He might help lure Bobrovsky down south. Panthers get a fairly decent middle six forward with retained salary. Likely to have him play with Dadanov/Hoffman and Trotchek.
3.
LAK
  1. 2019 1st round pick (OTT)
  2. 2020 7th round pick (COL)
  3. 2021 5th round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
BOWEN BYRAM!!! Blackhawks traded for Maatta so I doubt they take him 3rd. They make a quick move to trade up for 4 and get their guy.
COL
  1. Martinez, Alec
  2. 2019 1st round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
Avs get a solid defenceman in Martinez. A reliable top 4 guy. Avs also get 5 so get Podkolzin or Turcotte or whomever they please.
4.
LAK
  1. Huska, Adam
  2. Miller, K'Andre [Reserve List]
  3. Namestnikov, Vladislav
Additional Details:
Miller is a great prospect to help the Kings awful defence corps. Namestnikov is a cap filler, and Huska is also a goaltender prospect that looks real solid. Kings manage to get younger once again
NYR
  1. LaDue, Paul
  2. Quick, Jonathan
Additional Details:
Rangers prepare to contend by getting themselves a goalie. With king Henrik as a backup, it doesn't matter when Quick inevitably gets injured because Lundqvist is extremely serviceable and they won't need to rush Quick back. Ladue is also a borderline NHLer so that would be a short term upgrade over Miller, and due to having so many young defenseman, the Rangers can afford to trade Miller.
5.
LAK
  1. Bogosian, Zach
  2. Nylander, Alexander
  3. Thompson, Tage
  4. 2020 1st round pick (BUF)
  5. 2021 1st round pick (BUF)
  6. 2021 2nd round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
Kings get a great prospect in Nylander, another good player in Thompson, and a MASSIVE package for their franchise player. Also getting the GOAT in Bogosian helps. *2020 PICK IS LOTTERY PROTECTED. IF IN LOTTERY, SABRES HAVE OPTION TO DEFER TO 2022*
BUF
  1. Doughty, Drew
  2. 2020 4th round pick (LAK)
  3. 2021 2nd round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Sabres get a franchise defenseman to pair with Dahlin. Give up a boatload of players and picks, but they commit to contending with Eichel, Skinner, Dahlin, Doughty, Reinhart, Mittelstadt and a potential trade for a goalie. Getting rid of Bogosian's contract will help give money to goaltending options
6.
LAK
  1. Marleau, Patrick
  2. Sandin, Rasmus
Additional Details:
In this trade, the kings get the two things they need: A future top 2-4 dman and cap fillers. Taking on Marleau helps them reach the floor and Sandin is a phenomenal prospect.
TOR
  1. Anderson-Dolan, Jaret
  2. Lewis, Trevor
  3. 2020 3rd round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
Anderson-Dolan is actually a pretty decent player that projects into a really serviceable bottom 9 forward. Lewis is a gritty veteran with cup experience. They get cap room to resign Marner and gain a pick in the process. Overall, the Leafs lose an elite prospect to save one of their best players and getting a solid mid round pick in the process, along with a solid prospect

The leafs will not be including Sandin in any trade just to dump Marleau, it will not cost that much .

Poehling is not "a phenomenal prospect". Hes good but hes not the centrepiece in a Kopitar trade. Plus LA gives up Grundström who was very solid for them?

As a Kings fan, I wouldn't do that Kopitar trade. Change Lindgren to Suzuki and maybe.

MTL passes

Kopitar is way to old for us to give up that haul

Juulsen , Lindgren and our 15th overall straight up sure
it gives you a 1st round pick similar position to the one used to draft Kopitar
a top 4 RD to develop being Doughty and a goalie prospect .

outside that we'd throw in a Ikonen , Teasdale or Evans that are what we consider B+ center prospects.
if Kopitar was under 30 then maybe giving up Poehlings worth it but he's not .

Rangers have Shesterkin and Georgiev. No way in hell we give up our best D prospect for a starting goalie.

The only piece in the Buffalo deal that makes me hesitate is 7OA. Doughty is great but his cap hit is nuts so I'd pass because you have 7OA in there.
