Only 82mil and getting impact picks now

Created by: PhillDaThrill

Description
Make the moves to get up to 3 to get Turcotte. He will be NHL ready in 2020.
To be assured to get Knight, VGK has to move ahead of Colorado. We finally get our goalie of the future. He is our back up in 2021, and the starter when MAF is done which is as soon as 2022.

Not wild about Carpenter as the 3rd line RW, but it's the best I could do with the 82mil cap. At 83mil I would have sign Donskoi and let either Carpenter or Nosek walk. Maybe something could be done at the deadline to improve that spot.

I think you're looking at this the wrong way. All of Vegas' core is in their prime. They are trying to WIN NOW, before MAF gives out. They can't afford to lose top 6 guys if they aren't getting a competent roster player or filling a need in return

Your right and all the trade he made send player too team that are not contender so there trading their first round pick! Chicago own 3 rd overall would gave up for colin miller! Montreal would trade their 15 overall pick for a average forward they have already plenty of them in there team! Ottawa could take a few player like clarkson and holden and 2nd rounder for future consider

No from Chicago. If they want a quality defenseman, they'll just draft Byram.

You guys realize to get under 82mil VGK is going to lose a "top 6" guy. I'd rather it be Smith than Karlsson.

You see how tight the cap is. I had to start Carpenter on the 3rd line. And you can argue I underpaid Karlsson.

I think these moves keep as much of the core to win now together as possible. And sets the team up looking to the future.

No, Chicago moved down from 3 to 7 and gets Miller. I like this as a Hawks fan because they improve on D and still can get a top prospect such as Podkolzin at 7. And you are crazy if you think Chicago is not a contender.

Montreal doesn't get an average forward. Haula is a very versatile player who is a top 9 center or wing on a very reasonable contract. They also get two 2nds.

A top 9 foward is a average player! He like andrew shaw or Paul Byron similar stat montreal dont need player like that and of im stan bowman i not giving the 3 overall for a 3 pairing defenceman! They could sign jordie benn and still have their 3 overall doesnt make sense at all! Trade are suppose to eork for both side if vegas trade for cap space why they still win all those trade ?

Byram isn't going to be ready this year. Chicago needs the D to be better now. Borquist will be ready in 2020 to replace UFA Gussy, so Byram would be redundant. They still get the 7 pick to get a nice forward prospect. With this move Chicago's D is much better for 2019 and beyond.

They aren't giving up the 3 overall. They are moving down 4 picks. And Miller is not a 3rd pairing guy. I actually would see the Blackhawks going Keith-Miller, Maanta-Joker, Murphy-Gussy.

Why if he is that great vegas lets him go! If miller play on the first pairing in chicago this year it will be another long season for blackhawks goalie! Miller is a honest defenceman but not a game changer, could throw body around put up couple point block shot but nothing thats make him a core player! Not considering trading for 3 overall on a year like this

I don't know why you think he's not going to be ready this season. If the Kings draft Byram, they have every intention of playing him in the NHL this season alongside Doughty.

Byram is also a LHD while Boqvist is a RHD, so it wouldn't hurt for Chicago to have them both. That would be a quality top defensive pairing.

If Vegas wants to upgrade to the 3rd overall pick. They're going to have to pay significantly more than Colin Miller.

Is trade not displaying correctly? It's not Miller for the #3 pick. Its Miller and the #7 pick.

It shows Chicago's 1st round pick (3rd overall) going to Vegas and Chicago getting Miller and Buffalo's 1st round pick (7th overall) in return. That's not enough to move into the top 5.
