This is probably not a rational fear, but if I am Dubas there is a 0% chance I bring back Hainsey simply because I am worried that Babcock will continue to play him 22 minutes a night. I would be happy to bring him back at that for 1 year as a 3rd pair and him play 14 minutes a night, but I am scared by how coach may use him.

Not sure if that was sarcasm or not.. but everything about that was right until you mentioned Hayes getting over $7M.. he just did which is slightly overpaid so if you're saying that if Hayes gets over $7M then that means Marner gets $11M, you just contradicted yourself

Hayes got 7 million because the market for UFA centers sucks. Not because he's worth 7 million.
