Trouba cannot sign for 8 years (only 7). Florida would not make that trade as they would have a huge hole at 2C especially if they sign Bob and Artemi.

Trocheck is a legit #1C and honestly better than Zibanejad as much as I love him. There's no way Florida agrees to that

No, he would have had to have been on the team at the trade deadline to qualify for a 8-year contract. The max deal he can sign now is 7 years.

No like it's not in the same ballpark. Would you trade Zibanejad for that package in return? Of course you wouldn't, and Trocheck is both better and makes less money, like he's on one of the best contracts in the league and a legit #1

Not saying FLO does the trade, but they have a legit 2 C entering his 2nd year of pro hockey. Before long Trochek will be traded (i’m Guessing next year (20-21))
