No one....and I mean no one is taking any bad contracts with no movement clauses...because they have to be protected during the expansion draft....so that trade is not happening....The Haws cannot get rid of either Keith or Seabrook until after the expansion draft...

For the most part I agree it would be difficult, but I could see a few special exceptions. The Hawks for example Could indeed take a forward with a NMC. They go 7 - 3 - 1...because that's the most prudent. They let Maatta/Murphy be exposed. Then Toews, Kane, Debrincat, Strome, Saad....then who? (This specific Arm Chair Post aside) They have (2) slots available where a team like Tampa/Toronto might prefer to trade a forward to CHI in order to get assets in return rather than lose that forward for nothing?

***EDIT*** Another way of looking at it. What team would offer big assets to EDM for Pool Party if they thought Seattle was just going to scoop him up? Stan's in a position where he can offer up assets and be reasonably sure that he can keep him for the long haul.
