No, Im saying that the bruins are getting boned in this trade. Krugs value is alot higher than Rakells. Krug has basically the same amount of points as a defenseman, plus he adds so much more to the PP

Rakell's a great player and i love watching him, but id be pretty disappointed if i woke up and saw this trade

I see it as: 1 year of krug vs 3 years of under 4m for a top 6 winger. krugs value is unquestionably high right now, BUT where he adds to the powerplay he is negated in 5v5 hockey. more than half of his points last year came on the powerplay. I want guys that can put the puck in the net 5 on 5, not just the powerplay. Also if rakell puts up 69 points again last year i think your tune is changed. i think with a competent line like i assembled above with meier and krejci he could really put the puck in the net.

Yeah youre def right about him being a 5v5 liability, although he has grown more as a defensive player. On 5v5 hes great at getting the puck out of the defensive zone (not like McAvoy but still great at it) . I guess that I just see the 69 Points as a bit of an outlier but we'll see. I just feel like now, you could sweeten the deal and put a lesser draft pick or random burner in there from ANA because Krug has proved his worth more than Rakell at this point in time.
