Stevie Makin moves

Created by: LogBoi
Team: 2019-20 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 19, 2019
Published: Jun. 19, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Unrealistic I know but still we can dream lol.

Failing sending Green and the picks Yzerman would only send the 6th and Glendening for Puljujarvi and the 8th. Edmonton moves up and gets a nice third liner that will play this year as opposed to Puljujarvi who will not dress again in the oilers jersey

Trades
DET
  1. Puljujärvi, Jesse [RFA Rights]
  2. 2019 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Holland said that they are looking for a third liner in return for Poolparty, Glendening is a good fit and Holland knows him and values him ( didn’t trade him at the deadline even though there were teams offering for him ) that third rounder ( which still has a chance to be a second if San Jose resigns Nyquist ) and then add the second rounder for this year and Green who can help Edmonton’s defensive gaps. If they are in the basement again for next year they can easily flip Green.
EDM
  1. Glendening, Luke
  2. Green, Mike
  3. 2019 2nd round pick (NYI)
  4. 2020 3rd round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
Yzerman moves two aging vets who can help the oilers 3rd line scoring and blue line holes.

Glendening is a reliable 3rd liner who is great at face offs and effective on the PK while Green is still a serviceable offensive d man. I’m not saying they’d be the reasons that the oilers would be in the playoffs next year but they certainly would help the young team. The picks are only to sweeten the pot for Holland and make the deal go through.

Why not just trade Edmonton's 1st for Green and Glendening. Puljujärvi isn't worth the roster spot he would take from one of Detroits prospects.

0% chance of Mike Green ever waiving for Edmonton, Hell will freeze over before that happens.

He’s from Calgary so he’s close to home, he’ll be on the #1 like for a lot of there special teams and they have a better shot at playoffs than Detroit.

Can't see Green waiving for Edmonton, he has played his entire career on the east coast. Also Edmonton is not trading the 8 OV for one year of an old injured defenceman, a 4th liner an a 2nd and 3rd
