he's probably WORTH 9.75m but he's very young and an RFA.. he's going to GET 10.5+ and for TOR to not match its gonna TAKE 11m+

I think marner is great, but thats crazy. The sabres have to prove that they can make the playoffs before they can start throwing around potential lottery firsts like this. If they wanna offersheet kapanen or johnsson at 4.2 for 4 or 5 years, fine. Toronto probably finds a way to match, but at least it makes sense.

It’s a good point. I would like to think that Dubas matches anything below a 1st & 3rd compensation. May not be the case depending on cap situation ace though.
