I agree like I said in the description they need to trade one of the forwards for a top 4 RD. Would rather it be Killorn or Gourde before Miller. But if they can't make a trade like that this team is still pretty good.

I think you're highly optimistic that Point signs for $6.75M. I hope he waits to see what Marner and Rantanen get.

Point accepting a 3 year 6.75 million dollar contract is not out of the question to be honest. If he wants to win a cup with this team he might have accept a deal like this to make the cap work. Plus at 3 years he would be up for 12+ on his next deal at just 26.

He can leave money on the table and not win a cup in Tampa. The only thing that would be a certainty in that scenario is that he would get underpaid. Pay him what he’s earned and get rid of the dead weight instead.

Not saying he can't do that or the Lightning won't do that. I was just putting together a team where Callahan went on IR and the Bolts re-signed their current players and did not trade anyone. In this scenario he would have to take a 3 year bridge at 6.75M to make it work.

This has been bugging me with your replies... ITS DISNEYWORLD.... you know the theme park about 50 miles up interstate 4 from Tampa though I would prefer to stay in Tampa and be at Busch Gardens for the coasters. wink
