Doesn't sound like Getzlaf is being traded, and I doubt the Ducks would retain on his contract if they moved him.

His contract as is would not get much. if they could retain (which they have proven they're willing to do with the perry buyout IMO) they would get a big haul like this.

Yeah I do not think they will move him. maybe as a rental but he stays a duck for now. Just wanted to do something different

Getzlaf 50% retained and Perreault? If the ducks were to move on from getzlaf don’t you think part of the motivation would be cap relief? You gave them none and only gave up a mediocre LD(ducks have plenty of LD) prospect and what would be a late 1st.

Perreault is worth a 3rd and should help a young team like the ducks. Stanley is a former 1st who looked good in his first pro year. expect a major step forward next season with maybe a few nhl call ups. The 1st will have to be late sorry says every team thinking about acquiring getzlaf

All value aside, trading getzlaf is too early and wont happen yet. maybe when he's a rental

I would love to see Getzlaf compete for a cup for the next two years. Dont know if he'd leave Anaheim for anywhere outside of California. Just an opinion obviously.
