Description
TBH not quite sure how to value Trochek, not sure if I'm uder or over paying for him. He has a Corsi rating of 76.3 which is below both Monahan (79.21) and Kadri(77.12). However I personally value him above Kadri in terms of potential, and current skill level.

Florida is currently trying to ditch Reimer since they are expecting Bob to sign there this summer. I think if the Flames draft Spencer Knight in the 1st round Reimer is a decent investment as a 1b for Rittich, giving Knight plenty of time to develop to NHL caliber. Adding Reimer to the trade also evens out the value for FLA loosing Trocheck. If we don't pick Knight this trade isn't worth doing and it's better to try and go after Mrazek, Lehner, Talbot, or even Varli

As for Pool-Party, Im perfectly fine taking the chance that he can reemerge as the prospect he was. Backlund could make a great leader for him and Dube to develop. If he ends up being a bust for us Neal can always come back in and play on the wing of Trocheck or Backlund

Stone can be traded to any team that wants him for a 4th, Vegas just might want to unite the brothers and he could slot into their 3rd pairing (assuming the move out Miller).

*I see it much more likely that a trade around Kap + kadri + x for Brodie + Janko + Bennett happens*

Vegas has no cap room so there’s no way they have room for stone. Ottawa could potentially be a fit and Anaheim only have 4 D under contract so I’d try one of those two teams.

Completely agree that they probably wont have the room, i was using them as more of an example as the team that takes him doesnt really matter to me. I can see any team that needs a bottom pairing RD with middle pairing potential, that has cap space being interested as RD are in high demand atm (see Braun trade) and we arent asking for much in return.

Pool-Party could probably be had for a 2nd and a lower pick. He got 9 points last season

2 issues, cap space and division rival. If he turns his game around here Edmonton will be an even bigger laughingstock then they already are. Realistically he's worth frolik with a resign condition alone, but then janko becomes an odd man out on our squad. We could ask for their 2nd, that would probably even it up
