| | - | | Jack Hughes is the obvious choice for #1. Hughes has amazing hockey IQ and incredible speed. He has the highest ceiling of any player in this draft and can really help the Devils' offense for years to come. |
| | - | | Kakko might be the most capable of transitioning to the NHL's style of play. He has been playing against men and has adapted his game's physicality. His pure skill sets him up as a top prospect and could very well be the best prospect this year. |
| | - | | Turcotte played for the United States Development team and really proved what a great two-way player he is. He has great offensive and defensive instincts and is often compared to hopeful future teammate, Jonathan Toews. |
| | | | Byram is this year's top defensive prospect by a pretty wide margin. Byram can easily go in the top-3, but if Chicago passes on him, the Avs will get a great offensive defenseman who can be paired with Cale Makar. |
| | - | | Cozens is a big (6'3) two-way center from the WHL, who is capable of transitioning to the NHL as soon as next year. The Kings need a future center who can live up to Kopitar's legacy. |
| | - | | Zegras has some of the best vision and hockey sense of this year's prospect pool. He is one of the best passers this year and he'd fit in nicely in Detroit's system. |
| | - | | Caufield scored 74 goals in the USNDT this past season. He is a natural goal scorer. Caufield can put up solid numbers playing along side Eichel. |
| | - | | Dach is another big (6'4) center from the WHL. Dach has potential to be 2nd line center, allowing McDavid and Draisaitl to dominate the 1st line. |
| | - | | Boldy is one of the the most complete player in this year's draft. This "Swiss Army Knife" player can be placed in a variety of situations and get the job done. |
| | - | | Krebs played on the worst team in the WHL, but that didn't stop him from putting up solid numbers. Krebs is among the hardest working playmakers. |
| | - | | Podkolzin was once regarded as a top-5 pick. He has settled but there is no doubt that he has great offensive skill and that would be welcomed at any team. |
| | - | | Broberg would be able to help boost an aging blue line and bring stability as a top-4 prospect in the years to come. |
| | - | | York is an offensive defenseman who understands the game very well. He was the # 1 defenseman for the USNDT and had one of the most productive seasons of any defender. |
| | - | | Newhook is the best skater in the draft beside Hughes. He uses his speed to create oppotunities. |
| | - | | Seider is a big (6'4) defenseman who skates well. He is not afraid to use his size and compete. Montreal needs defensive prospects. |
| | - | | Lavoie has a NHL-level shot and has scored quite a few goals from a long distance. If the Avs draft defensman Byram earlier in the draft, Lavoie would be a great depth center as to develop. |
| | - | | Knight is this year's top goalie prospect. Vegas need a goalie to take over once Fleury is gone and Knight definitely has starter potential. His name would be very marketable in Vegas, as well. |
| | - | | Kaliyev is a pure goal scorer and can give Dallas a much needed offensive boost. |
| | | | Suzuki has great vision on the ice. He projects to be a top-6 center in the NHL. |
| | - | | Soderstrom is great defenseman who could be picked up much sooner. |
| | - | | Pittsburgh needs defensive prospects. |
