Really

Created by: Hawkisles
Team: 2019-20 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 21, 2019
Published: Jun. 21, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Holmstrom. Really.

Suzuki, Tomasino and Kaliyev all on the board. And you draft a long term developmental project with an injury riddled past.

Christ, Id rather have anyone left in the first round than this high-risk meh-reward pick.

I honestly dont know what to say. Multiple proven scorers and centers too and we pick this guy... Hope a trade is coming...

At least your brass didn't pass on Caufield. The picks at this stage are all getting pretty speculative. In Lou you trust.

His whole appeal is that he was Point per game at WCJ. That’s it.

Multiple injuries in his past and he plays in Scandinavia, so he has half the ice time as every other guy in this draft. Unbelievable.

We have definitive needs and long term prospect is not one of them. Kaliyev or Suzuki pays immediate dividends. I just dont understand this move.

If they reached this much I think it’s a win, they know he’s they’re guy and never waivered. That’s a good thing, I’m all for it

Not one thing about this that I like. I’d bet anything that Ty Smith was their guy last year, but when two better picks fell, they used them to take the best guys on the board.

And you know what? I’d be fine with this if they traded back into the draft to grab him. Sure, grab your favorite prospect. I’m all for that.

But never, never, never reach 20 picks down for an injury prone guy. Never. It’d be one thing if this guy was low risk, but he’s the furthest thing from it. High risk, medium reward.
