That bad?? I thought they needed forward depth. Are they actually high on Thompson? Thought he was bottom 6 tier.
Edit: Will adjust the picks and see how that flies.

I don’t see any interest from them for 2 rentals and 2 bad picks for 2 long term assets. ??‍♂️

Maybe a 3rd an 6th for the rentals.

Yeah, agree to disagree about the return for Buffalo. To acquire depth, Buffalo can either go UFA at greater expense and term, rush the prospects prematurely (i.e. Edmonton style), or take a deal like this that fills holes and yields draft value.

Hagg sucks, worth at most a 3rd. Clarkson is on LTIR and Gusev is good, why package that with a 2nd for nothing?

Did you not see what Toronto just paid to get out of cap hell? Hey, maybe GM GM pulls a miracle, but prepare yourself for value going the other way to get cap compliant.

Dumping a player 39 years old make 6.25 mil who doesn't save you anything on a buyout and is not injured so can't be put on LTIR is nothing like the situation the Knights have with any of their contracts.

Clarkson can be put on LTIR. Other players like Miller and Eakin are assets that other teams will have interest in at their current contract values.

That's why it's not a 1st. Maybe you think cap space is the only thing, but Clarkson is owed 3.25 mil in real dollars. If Vegas, as widely rumored, is trying to offload the contract, they will have to pay some compensation for it. They also don't have the cap to re-sign all their RFAs. Someone has to go.
